TELL US YOUR THOUGHTS WHEN YOU FIRST SAW THE SCRIPT?

JESSIE: I just wished and hoped that I could do it, and that I’d be able to bring that amazing woman to life. She was jumping of the page when I read it, it was just real, raw, honest, emboldened and tenacious – it felt like being plugged in by electricity when reading it. I was excited!

YOU’D WORKED TOGETHER BEFORE – TOM, WHAT MADE YOU THINK OF JESSIE FOR THE ROLE?

JESSIE: Be nice!

TOM: She’s so difficult, problematic, boisterous, fiery… (laughs)

JESSIE: Haha, they’re going to quote this, and I’ll never work ever again!

TOM: She has so many things in actuality. When you’re trying to cast someone, the most important thing is to try to find the right energy – and Jessie is so outgoing and fiery. Not only does she have an ability to transport you into the world of the character, but there’s an electricity that pulses through her that is so true of Rose-Lynn.

YOU’VE SINCE BEEN PLAYING SHOWS AS ROSE-LYNN; HAVE YOU BUILT MORE OF A BOND WITH THE CHARACTER THAN USUAL?

JESSIE: Yeah; she’s really hard to let go! She just pops up every now and then – and I’ll basically blame all my misbehaving on her from now on. If I ever fall out of a bar? It’s Rose-Lynn, it’s not me!
