How to get a replacement SIM

Let us know straight away if you've lost your SIM. You can call us on freephone 1908 or contact us on chat.

Once you report the SIM as lost, we will lock it immediately so that nobody else can use it. We can also order you a replacement SIM, or you can order one in your My Virgin Media account.

What happens if you order your SIM by phone or chat?

When you've requested a SIM replacement, we will send it out to you by courier.

The delivery should only take up to two working days, but most complete within 24 hours. We'll keep in touch anyway to let you know how it's going.

 

Important: When you receive the new SIM, you need to contact us on either freephone 1908 or via Chat to activate it.

How to order your SIM by your My Virgin Media account

  1. After you have logged in, click on My Products from the tabs on the top of the page. (Don't have an account? You can register in seconds!)
  2. Click on Mobile from the drop down menu
  3. You will see your mobile SIM details. Click on Show Full Details
  4. When the page opens, you'll see your mobile usage. Scroll down a little and you will see SIM info
  5. Under SIM info, you have the heading Options
    Under Options, you need to click on Request new SIM
  6. You now need to select your reason for requesting the replacement SIM
  7. Once you've selected your reason, complete the form to place your order for the replacement SIM

What to do when you receive your replacement SIM

The replacement SIM we send you will not work right away. When you receive it, you will need to contact us on either Freephone 1908 or via Chat. (It doesn't matter which method you used to order it).

 

We'll then confirm the numbers on the SIM card and activate it for you. The SIM will be active within five minutes. And away you go!
