Frequently asked questions

How do you know when you are reaching your spend limit?

If you use your mobile for calls, texts or data outside of your plan's inclusive allowance, we'll remind you when you're nearing your spend limit.

You don't need to worry about accidentally overspending though - we will send you two texts to let you know you're approaching your limit.

The first text lets you know when you're reaching 80% of your limit, and the second text is sent when you reach 100% of the limit.

How much is the spend limit?

Every Virgin Mobile account has a total spend limit of €123, over what's included in
your plan.

What happens if you reach your data spend limit?

If you reach your data spend limit, your mobile data will be restricted. You'll be able to carry on making calls and sending texts though.

What happens if you use the full spend limit?

If you reach the full spend limit of €123, your service will be suspended. You'll need to make a payment to us before we can restore service. The best way to do this is to give us a call on Freephone 1908, and we'll talk you through it, and get you back up and running.

What can you do if you are roaming and reach your spend limit?

If you reach your full spend limit while roaming abroad, you'll still need to make a payment before we can restore your service.

If you're unable to phone our call centre on Freephone 1908 due to suspended services, you can reach us on +353896191908 from any other phone.
