If you joined before October 8th

When you sign up to Virgin Media, you'll be billed from the time you receive your equipment. This means that on your first bill you'll be charged for more than just 30 days.

For example:

  • Customer receives equipment on the 19th of July
  • Billing Cycle is the 28th of the month
  • They will be charged from the 19th July up to the 27th
  • They will also be charged for a month in advance - from July 28th up to August 27th

Your first bill for TV, Broadband or Home Phone

If you joined after October 8th

When you sign up to Virgin Media, you'll be billed from the time you receive your equipment. This means that on your first bill you'll be charged for more than just 30 days.

For example:

  • Customer receives equipment on the 19th of July
  • Billing Cycle is the 28th of the month
  • They will be charged from the 19th July up to the 27th
  • They will also be charged for a month in advance - from July 28th up to August 27th

Your first Virgin Mobile Bill

The Virgin Mobile bill cycle always begins on the 19th of the month up to the 18th of the next month. If you first bill is a little higher than expected, you may have been charged for days from the last month as well as your monthly subscription. If you have an offer, you'll also see that reflected in your bill.

For example:

  • Join Virgin Mobile on 24th of December
  • Your first bill will cover from 24th of December up to January 18th
  • Any offer or promotion subtracted from the balance

This is the date the bill was issued.

Bringing Your Balance Forward

As this is your first bill, you won’t have to worry about a balance being brought forward but we just wanted to make you aware of this for your next bill. Any balance due from previous bill(s) will live here.

So, What’s Due?

This is the total amount due .for payment. Handily there are a few ways to pay your bill including Direct Debit, online on virginmedia.ie, credit or laser card, pay at your bank, by cash or by post. You can view the details of each payment option at virginmedia.ie/billing

Without meaning to sound all ‘school teacher’ this is when your bill must be cleared. If you’re a direct debit customer this will be the day we will collect your direct debit from your bank.
