OK, so Manchester City’s march to the Premier League title is done – but you didn’t expect to be twiddling your thumbs until the World Cup, did you?! There’s tons of action to look forward to in the coming week alone – from the cream of continental football to the real business of the rugby season, with a hard-hitting heavyweight boxing contest to serve as the main event! Grab your foam finger, because a super seven days of sport lie ahead…

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR V WATFORD

Monday at 7pm, Sky Sports Main Event, Virgin TV 401

Spurs’ quest to secure Champions League football next season continues at their (temporary) Wembley home. With Chelsea lurking just two points behind, Mauricio Pochettino‘s men know that any slip-up could be costly – but with out-of-form Watford the visitors, they’ll be expecting to collect all three points. Meanwhile, Manchester United could guarantee a finish as runners-up with a win at Brighton in an all-too-rare Friday night showdown – that one is also on Sky Sports Main Event.

REAL MADRID V BAYERN MUNICH

Tuesday at 7.30pm, TV3, Virgin TV 103

When two of Europe’s most decorated sides square off with a spot in the Champions League final at stake, you’d better believe sparks will fly! Real arrive back at the Bernabeu with the lead, but with just one goal in it the tie is far from over. The following night, meanwhile, attention will turn to RTÉ2 (Virgin TV 102) to see if Liverpool’s five-star performance against Roma will be enough to see them through, or if the concession of two late goals might just come back to haunt them…

BELLEW V HAYE 2

Saturday at 6pm, Sky Sports Box Office – Click here to order!

Boxing is always unpredictable, but the first contest between these British rivals was stranger than most – David Haye snapping his Achilles tendon midway through the fight, yet carrying on with one good leg until he finally succumbed in the tenth. Liverpudlian Tony Bellew is eager to prove that even with full mobility ‘The Hayemaker’ is no match for him; having made his Hollywood bow in Creed, ‘Bomber’ is no stranger to an ending worthy of the big screen! It will be either repeat or revenge – and expect no punches to be pulled when the bell goes for this titanic battle!

MUNSTER V EDINBURGH

Saturday at 3.15, Sky Sports Action, Virgin TV 403

While Leinster are already safely through to the semi-finals of the Pro14, their provincial rivals will be eager to join them in the final four. An impressive Edinburgh side will be buoyed by their defeat of compatriots Glasgow last week, and look to be in fine form; the fortress of Thomond Park, however, is one of the toughest places for any team to go, which is why the Red Army will be firm favourites to progress to the penultimate stage of what’s been a thrilling first year of the expanded tournament.
