Virgin Media’s Connections for Good campaign to support Ireland’s Arts, Cultural and Entertainment Sector

The campaign is running throughout July across Virgin Media Television

22nd July 2021: As part of Virgin Media’s Connections for Good campaign, throughout the month of July, we will be focusing on supporting Ireland’s arts, cultural and entertainment sector by giving Irish performers, musicians and representatives from the sector a platform to showcase what Ireland has to offer.

A number of interviews have already taken place this month on Virgin Media TV’s Ireland AM with Irish comedian, Alison Spittle, featuring on Monday, July 12th’s edition of the show and fellow Irish comedian and host of the hugely successful podcast, An Irishman Abroad, Jarlath Regan, appearing on last Tuesday’s show.

Upcoming arts performances to appear as part of the campaign include Irish singing superstar Philomena Begley who is scheduled to appear on Ireland AM on July 31st and Robert Mizzell, one of Ireland’s most-loved country music stars will also be on the Six O’Clock Show on July 26th.

Both of these acts are to perform as part of the ‘At The Manor’ summer series, a celebration of the return of music and culture to outdoor spaces in Ireland which is taking place on the grounds of the 5-star Palmerstown House Estate, Kildare. In addition to Picnic at the Manor, which kicks off Friday July 23rd, this event series will also see a host of beloved performers taking to the stage at ‘Country At The Manor’, along with ‘Laughs At The Manor’, ‘Proms At The Manor’ and ‘Swing At The Manor’. All of these performances will be taking place this August with tickets on sale now via the atthemanor.ie. All guests will have a socially distanced pod with a reserved picnic table seating 4-6 people so they can share this unique experience, music and food with their family and friends. There is a very limited amount of tickets available so as to avoid crowding and congestion whilst also maintaining ample space for outdoor food markets and bars so book early to avoid disappointment.

These are just a select few features and performances across the month of July on Virgin Media Television as we continue to support and showcase Ireland’s thriving arts, cultural and entertainment sector. More interviews and performances will be announced in the near future.
