Virgin Media Television confirms details of Live Election 2020 Debates

First Head-to-Head Debate between Leo Varadkar and Micheál Martin confirmed for this Wednesday, January 22nd, with Pat Kenny as host.

 

Multi-party Leaders Debate to take place on Thursday, January 30th, moderated by Matt Cooper and Ivan Yates.

 

Date: Monday 20th January, 2020: Virgin Media Television has today confirmed plans for two live Debates during the Election 2020 campaign.

 

In the first major television debate of the campaign, Taoiseach and Fine Gael leader Leo Varadkar and Fianna Fáil Leader Micheál Martin go head-to-head in a debate live from Virgin Media Television Studios.

 

Hosted by Pat Kenny, the debate will be broadcast live on Virgin Media One at 9.30pm.

 

Build-up will begin at 9pm with a Tonight Show Debate Special. Following the Head-to-Head Debate, The Tonight Show will have all the reaction and analysis along with a panel of experts.

 

On Thursday, January 30th Virgin Media Television will host a multi-party Leaders’ Debate moderated by Matt Cooper and Ivan Yates, where the leaders of the seven main political parties have been invited to Virgin Media Television to take part in a wide-ranging debate.
