Virgin Media scores a ‘hat trick’ – winning Best Customer Experience
for third successive year

Virgin Media picked up the accolade at the Customer Contact & Shared Services Awards (CCMA)


Monday, 18th November 2019: Virgin Media, Ireland’s fastest broadband provider, has won the ‘Best Customer Experience’ award at the Customer Contact & Shared Services Awards (CCMA). Hosted annually, the awards celebrate customer service excellence within the Irish contact centre and shared services sector.


2019 marks the third successive year that Virgin Media has taken home the accolade, seeing off stiff competition from companies including Three Ireland, Indeed and Dell Technologies. The award recognises Virgin Media’s excellence in setting and meeting the highest standards of customer experience.


Derek Temple, Chairperson CCMA Ireland said: “Presenting Virgin Media with this award for the third time has to be the strongest testament to their commitment to delivering customer experience excellence. The judges applaud them on this spectacular achievement. Their single-minded approach to ‘making it easy’ has led them to disrupt and transform customer service provision to the highest standard, making them a deserving and commendable winner.”


Virgin Media Vice President of Customer, Michael McCarthy said: “Through our dedicated staff, we continue to provide an effortless experience for our customers throughout Ireland. We are focused on meeting the needs and requirements of our customers to ensure they enjoy the best experience, including recent innovations like Smart Wi-Fi, which optimises user experience in the home across multiple devices.”


Meanwhile, ComReg’s latest Quarterly Consumer Line Statistics Report for Q2 2019 underlined Virgin Media’s success, showing that customers continue to have the lowest rate of complaints compared to all competitors. The research also examined the length of time complaints remained open with operators. Virgin Media once again topped the scoreboard with no contacts open for greater than 20 days.
