ComReg receives fewer complaints about Virgin Media than other fixed service providers*

Monday 18th December 2017 -  ComReg’s latest Consumer Line Statistics Report (Q3 2017) shows that ComReg received substantially fewer complaints about Virgin Media compared to other fixed service providers.

The results for Q3 showed a further reduction in the number of complaints registered with ComReg for Virgin Media. Specifically, the number of complaints registered with ComReg about Virgin Media in Q3 2017 were 52% lower compared to Q3 2016 and 12% lower compared with the previous quarter.

Virgin Media Vice President of Customer Michael McCarthy said: “Results like this highlight that our competitors have quite a bit of catching up to do. For example, Eir’s customers are generating 8 times more complaints to ComReg per thousand customers compared with Virgin Media, while Vodafone and Sky customers are each generating more than four times as many complaints per thousand customers compared with Virgin Media.

"Yet again, our dedicated national customer experience centre in Limerick is providing market-beating service for customers on Ireland’s fastest broadband and connected entertainment service.”

Virgin Media recently received Best Customer Experience at the Customer Contact Management Association Awards and  for Business scooped the prestigious Best Business Broadband award at this year’s Chambers Ireland InBusiness awards.  Virgin Media was also named this year as Ireland’s fastest broadband network by consumers through the independent network assessment firm Ookla. Also in 2017, Virgin Media was named as Best Customer Rated Broadband, Most Recommended Broadband and Best Broadband Innovator at the Switcher Awards. Virgin Media was also awarded Best Broadband Bundle, Best Broadband Only Deal & Best TV Deal at the inaugural Bonkers.ie awards in 2017.
