Pairing your remote to your TV:
The pairing of your remote to your TV should take place during the initial set up of your Virgin TV box. If you are at this step, follow the instructions on your TV to complete the pairing process.
If you have missed this step or need to re-pair your remote to your TV, don’t worry it’s a quick fix!
Simply press and hold the ‘TV’ (ICON) button and the number ‘0’ button for 10 seconds.
A light should flash on the TV Box and the remote should then be paired.

Voice Control
Voice control can save you many clicks and you can navigate very quickly. Play around, you can get to live TV, Box Sets, integrated apps and recordings, just by talking. There might even be a few hidden surprises in there…
Hold the Microphone symbol on your TV remote and tell your box what to do. For example:
- Change channels by saying "Go to Sky One"
- Launch apps by telling the box "Open Netflix" or "Open YouTube"
- Access your recordings by saying "Go to your Recordings"
- Control your TV Box by saying - "Fast Forward 5 minutes", or "Rewind 5 minutes", or "Start again" to restart a programme.
What to do if your remote stops working
First, check the batteries. Remove and reinsert the batteries, ensuring they are facing the correct direction. If the remote still isn't working, try replacing the batteries with a new set.
Next, let's check if the remote is paired correctly with your TV. Press and hold the ‘TV’ and ‘0’ buttons together for 10 seconds until the light flashes on your Virgin TV box.
Still not working? Turn off your TV and your set top box for about 30 seconds and turn back on. Give the remote a go and see how that works.
