UPC launches TV3+1
Broadcasting 24 hours a day, TV3+1 will provide busy Irish families a second opportunity to view their favourite programmes.
TV3+1 is available NOW on UPC Channel 119.
UPC, Ireland’s leading entertainment company and TV3 has y launched TV3+1. Available now on UPC channel 119, TV3+1 will broadcast 24 hours a day with a full delayed 1 hour feed of the main TV3 service, providing consumers with a second opportunity to see their favourite shows.
TV3 is the second most watched channel in the Republic of Ireland with some of the most popular shows in the market. From January 2015, TV3 is launching a brand new schedule which includes 15 new shows and Ireland’s first new soap in over 20 years, RED ROCK. This will see TV3’s schedule exceed 50% home produced content for the first time.
Jeff Ford, TV3 Group Director of Content, said: “The introduction of TV3+1 will provide busy Irish families a second opportunity to view their favourite TV3 programmes. I expect this launch combined with our new schedule will boost TV3’s audience share even further through 2015. When allied to 3e’s success as Ireland’s fastest growing digital channel, TV3 Group channels will continue to lead for both viewers and advertisers.”
TV3 also recently confirmed Republic of Ireland exclusivity for popular UK shows such The X Factor, Downton Abbey, Broadchurch and Britain’s Got Talent. In Autumn 2015, TV3 will also be the exclusive broadcaster of Rugby World Cup 2015.
