Hardcore photographers refer to aperture a lot – and it simply refers to the amount of light the camera allows to pass through the lens. A low aperture setting lets more light in – so if you frequently find yourself shaking a leg in a nightclub, camping out under the stars, or otherwise enjoying the cover of darkness, it could come in very handy indeed!
