In fact, these days you can’t swing a microphone cable without clobbering a familiar face who’s joining the pod squad. We’ve had a go at picking out five of the finest efforts around; proof that this talented lot are at the top of their game even when there’s not a camera in sight!

Having conquered screens both big and small, the loquacious funnyman turned to podcasting – and hasn’t looked back! In fact, his show is now exclusively delivered by Luminary (which is not yet available for Irish listeners), but there’s a healthy helping of 70+ shows to revisit in the meantime. The guest list is impressive – Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Casey Affleck and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss among those who’ve popped up in recent months – but so too is the host; intelligent and empathetic, he seems like a pretty easy fella to talk to!
