Lifting the lid on our Top-Secret Screening at Stella

Talk about the event of the summer! Last Saturday we hosted our third secret screening in the iconic Stella Theatre in Dublin and it was another event to remember.

90 lucky PLAY Magazine readers – and their plus ones – were invited to a screening of Maiden, the winner of the Audience Award at this year’s Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival. And among the attendees were a pair of extremely special guests; director Alex Holmes and producer Victoria Gregory, who collected their prize before proudly introducing the documentary that’s won rave reviews the world over.

Mind, it wasn’t just the fantastic film that patrons got to enjoy; before the film, a slap-up breakfast was served up – including a stonkingly good bespoke cocktail of gin, fresh blackberry, strawberry, pineapple and lime – while the audience was also treated to a fascinating Q&A session with the filmmakers, along with VMDIFF Festival Director Grainne Humphreys, just after the credits rolled.
