10k runners to take on 10K run and turn Dublin City red

Virgin Media Night Run, Sunday 23rd April

Tuesday 24th January: Dublin City will burn brighter on Sunday 23rd April at 9pm as an expected 10,000 runners take to the streets for the Virgin Media Night Run in partnership with Athletics Ireland and TITAN Experience. It’s time now to register www.virginmedia.ie/nightrun

 

With a new 10K route for 2017, runners will start at North Wall Quay / New Wapping Street and take in O’Connell Street, City Quays, Grand Canal Dock and Ringsend before crossing the East Link and finishing at the Samuel Beckett Bridge

 

For those looking for a New Year challenge, the Virgin Media Night Run is ideal. With 13 weeks to go, there is plenty of time to get out training with family, friends or work colleagues. On the night all runners will receive a Virgin Media Running Pack containing a branded running top (to be worn on the night), a race number (chipped) and numerous other treats.

 

Paul Farrell, Vice President of Commercial at Virgin Media said: “We’re really excited to announce that the city will be turning red again this year for the Virgin Media Night Run. The city will come alive with a festival atmosphere and we want everyone to come into town and enjoy this fantastic event. The run is ideal for regular runners, athletic clubs and anyone who wants to set a goal to complete a 10k run in 2017 and would like to experience the thrill of running through the streets of Dublin City at night. Virgin will this year be treating all those taking part to a limited edition Virgin Media branded running top.”

 

Entry is €30. Register now online at www.virginmedia.ie/nightrun. Entry closes on Wednesday 19th April at 5.00pm.

Virgin Media is working closely with Dublin City Council on the race route as road closures will be in place on the night, further information available closer to the event.
