Who’s A Good Boy – The Smartest Pets On The Box!

tv pets

If you listen very carefully, you might just be able to hear the faint sound of barking. And meowing. And chirping, whinnying, and just about any other sound an animal can muster – and that’s because The Secret Life Of Pets 2 has landed on Virgin Movies!

The lovable animation, available to rent now on Virgin Movies from €4.99, is all about what our animals get up to when nobody’s watching – though frankly, we’re more interested in what they’re like in full view! We’ve pulled together five of our favourite furry friends from the box, all worthy of a place in our affections…

REX

The Queen’s Corgi, available to rent now on Virgin Movies from €4.99

Certainly the most privileged pupper on the list, this royal tail-wagger managed to find himself on the outside – but he’s always got a spot in our hearts! Also, if there’s one person who deserves a bit of a bite, he’s probably made a very good choice…if you watch the film you’ll know what we’re talking about!!

SALEM

Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina, available now on Netflix, Virgin TV 999

This incarnation doesn’t talk, but then we reckon he doesn’t need to; the mere sight of him looking out for our teenaged witch is all we need! What’s more, with Halloween fast approaching we reckon it’s the purr-fect time to get reacquainted – what, too much?!

EDISON

Atypical, available now on Netflix, Virgin TV 999

While he might not be as smart as his namesake Thomas, that doesn’t stop this special shelled hero from being Sam’s best bud – and that’s good enough for us! After all, racing around after a pet can be such hard work sometimes that there’s a lot to be said for a turtle’s slower pace!

DAISY

John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, available to rent now on Virgin Movies from €4.99

While our heroic hitman has a new four-legged friend in the latest instalment – who remains unnamed, annoyingly – we can never forget who started the whole thing. A Russian mobster picked the wrong doggo to mess with, and we like to think that with every baddie he brings down, John is still paying tribute to poor Daisy…

MARCEL

Friends, available now on Netflix, Virgin TV 999

There’s been plenty of domesticated creatures that joined the gang over the years; a chick, a duck, and whatever type of weird cat Rachel believed Mrs Whiskerson to be. There can only be one winner though, and it’s this prime-time primate; after all, when Hollywood comes calling you know you’re looking at something special!
