Will viewers get to see all 450 matches?

The great news is, yes! If you’re a Virgin Media TV subscriber you’ll see all 450 games on Virgin Media Sport – we’ll be updating how and where as we get nearer to kick off.

What date will the first game be on the Virgin Media Sport channel?

The channel will be live for the 18th Sept for the 1st live match.

What if I’m not a Virgin Media TV customer?

One game per week will continue to be shown Free to Air on Virgin Media One as it always has on TV3. But if you want to see more of the action, Virgin Media broadband & mobile customers will be able to upgrade to any TV bundle to get access to Virgin Media Sport and all Champions League and Europa League games. Virgin Media TV Customers can see all the games on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on Virgin Media Sport.

We’ll also have a paid-for app that will give access to the channel and our other Virgin Media channels if you don’t have Virgin TV. Customers will get access to the matches for free for the first two months; they will then be able to subscribe to the channel at a reduced rate of €10 per month after that. 

 

What if I can’t get Virgin Media in my area?

Non-customers and viewers outside of Ireland will be able to view all the matches on our Virgin Media TV app for just €20 per month. It's a 30 day contract with no strings attached - and promises to provide excellent commentary and coverage!

Will the Virgin TV Anywhere app be available on Smart TVs?

The app is available on tablets, smartphones and laptops, not as a smart TV app. However, the Virgin Media TV channels can be casted to a Smart TV.

Which of the UEFA Euro 2020 & UEFA Nations League matches will be Free-to-Air?

Sports fans will enjoy the same number of Free-to-Air matches. TV3 have always shown a game on Tuesday night and Virgin Media One will host the first game of the week at 6pm. RTE will host the second game at 8pm, while Virgin Media Sport will also broadcast the 8pm game on our channel.

RTE will also show a live game on Tuesday night (First Pick – 8pm) which will also be broadcast on Virgin Media Sport with our own analysis and commentary. The Tuesday game, the finals and a highlights show on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday each week will all be Free-to-Air.

 

Will the Champion’s League Final be offered as Free-to-Air?

Yes, the Final will be broadcast Free-to-Air as well as on Virgin Media Sport.

Will Sky or eir be carrying Virgin Media Sport Channel?

No – it will be exclusively available to Virgin Media TV customers or from Virgin Media via our Virgin TV Anywhere App.
