How do I cancel my account?

Let’s face it, nobody likes goodbyes. If you are thinking of leaving Virgin Media, we’d be really sorry to see you go. So if you’re unhappy with your service for any reason, we’d love the chance to put it right. Just call 1908 and choose the cancel option.

I joined Virgin Media in the last 14 days

Did you sign up online or over the phone? If your installation took place in the last 14 days, and you want to cancel, no problem. You can use our cooling-off cancellation form. Fill in the form online, or download it and send by post if you prefer. We’ll let you know as soon as we’ve got it. 

I joined Virgin Media more than 14 days ago

If you’ve been with us for over 14 days, you can contact our cancellation department on 1908 (select the cancel option). Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm, Sat 9am - 6pm.


Please note:
If you are cancelling all or part of your services, then you will be subject to a 30 day notice period.

Where you are cancelling your contract within the minimum term of your contract an in contract cancellation fee may apply (see our Price List) for more details


Where you port your fixed voice service to another provider you will no longer be charged for your fixed line phone service. You will be required to continue to pay for any services that remain with Virgin Media.


Finally… if you’re moving home, did you know you don’t need to cancel your account? You can bring Virgin Media with you. We’ll usually have you set up within 48 hours, so you can catch up on all your favourite shows before you’ve even unpacked!
