Virgin Media to ‘Bring On Amazing’ with major integrated marketing campaign to launch new Virgin TV 360 Platform

Virgin Media Ireland are set to launch their largest integrated marketing campaign to date from Monday 5th October. It will coincide with the rollout of their new Virgin TV 360 Platform, a new connected entertainment platform delivering Virgin Media’s most advanced and innovative TV service yet.


Created in partnership with Publicis Dublin and Antidote Films and directed by US Director Nick Roney, the new campaign tells the story of an ordinary TV going through a journey of rejuvenation to become the extraordinary TV you deserve, thanks to Virgin Media TV 360. The TV enters an extraordinary world and goes to the Virgin Media Wellness Retreat for TVs where it undertakes a number of treatments in a colourful and somewhat offbeat setting before being hooked up to the new TV360 box and then being transported back to the family home where the new Virgin Media TV experience literally blows the family away.


The campaign will launch with a 60 second TV commercial and be followed by shorter length versions along with VOD to convey the new features of the Virgin TV 360 box such as profiles, voice activation, content aggregation and the new super user interface. These informative and engaging commercials will run up to the end of 2020 and into 2021 to let Irish consumers get a taste of what they can expect from the brand new TV platform.


Supported by OMD, the campaign also includes Virgin Media’s highest ever investment in VOD including a large scale Out of Home campaign that will kick off from 19th October. Social media activity will also launch around this time with the aim to extend the TV commercial using bespoke content that will grab attention from an extended audience beyond TV.
