Anne Healy, the founder, turned her love for tradition into a thriving business. Inspired by the horseshoe she received on her wedding day from her flower girl Cecelia, Anne has continued the tradition of sharing good luck through her work. With her sons, Edward and Mike, being avid riders, horses have always been a central part of Anne's life. In January 2019, Anne left her corporate career to follow her passion and create magical moments for others.

 

Every piece at Biddy's is handcrafted in their Kilkenny studio, with genuine horseshoes saved from landfill and repurposed into elegant gifts. The city’s rich culture and heritage add authenticity to each creation, ensuring that every piece carries a touch of Irish history.

 

The name "Biddy" pays homage to "Ruthstown Biddy," a beloved gray mare ridden by Anne’s son Edward, who brought years of joy and good luck to her riders. This spirit of good fortune is now shared with customers through each handcrafted horseshoe.
